I had the nicest experience at Shady Lane while shopping for a piece of jewelery for a gift. The staff were so welcoming, as soon as I walked in the door. They Also spent much time with me while I was making my decision on what piece to purchase. I had a had time deciding on what to get becasue they have such a lovely selection of unique items to choose from. Thanks so much for the great customer service. I am very happy with the necklace I ended up purchasing. I will definitely be back soon!

An oasis in the commercial desert! For many years this has been my first stop for unique handcrafted gifts, including the occasional gift for myself. Jewelry is my favorite, but there are so many other things,from lamps to toys, many with animal themes. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Do yourself a favor and shop here before heading to the mall.

This is one of those rare, special places Palo Alto still has left. The array of jewelry and other gifts they have is fantastic. I've shopped here for many, many presents, and the recipients are never disappointed. The staff is also very friendly and the atmosphere of the place is very calming. A true gem!

I love Shady Lane. They have a fabulous jewelry collection..friendly and knowledge staff. Their gift wrapping (free) is wonderful...When I get a get or give a gift from Shady Lane, it is a treasure!

This is easily my favorite place in downtown Palo Alto. The people are incredibly helpful and friendly, and the jewelry and other items they have just can't be found anywhere else. Anytime I want to buy a special, unique gift for someone, I go to Shady Lane.
