Youth Programs at YCS
YCS programs engage youth in community service activities that promote increased awareness of the needs of their communities and the development of individual community service self-efficacy, and positive emotional and behavioral health. We actively collaborate with a number of K-12 educators and community-based organizations in northern Santa Clara and southern San Mateo Counties.
Service Learning at YCSAs a California Department of Education Service Learning Regional Lead, YCS offers training for educators and community-based organizations on the methods for developing and implementing high quality service learning programs. YCS also provides ongoing technical assistance to K-18 service learning practitioners in San Mateo, Santa Clara, San Benito, Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties.
