2nd Annual New Play Development Factory Join us as we celebrate the creativity and talent of Bay Area playwrights! We read more than forty scripts and picked ne...w, original scripts by three local writers. Now Dragon Productions Theatre Company is hosting three weekends of staged readings of these scripts. After each performance, the writer is on hand to host a question and answer session with the audience to get feedback on the script. Over the next few days the scripts are all rewritten for the next weekend's performance. Almost Happy follows three young people as they struggle to understand themselves and each other in the age of Occupy Wall Street, changing sexual practices and a generation struggling to find its place. This darkly comic play explores what it means to "grow up" in the modern world, and the damage we cause in the process.
