Renzo Azzarello has been in the restaurant business for almost two decades and has managed some of the finest restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area. He designed Cafe Renzo's classic Italian menu to focus on the cuisine of his childhood in Sicily. Renzo and his Mamma Carmella, have created a menu rich with traditional family recipes - reflecting their commitment to authentic handcrafted foods. Mamma Carmella prepares freshly baked bread and hand-made pasta every day. In addition, the cafe takes advantage of the seasonal bounty available to the Bay Area and an extensive wine list includes many of the best wines available from Italy and California.
Lively from opening until closing, the cafe opens up for sidewalk seating and people-watching along University Ave., allowing guests to enjoy dining while taking in the neighborhood charm.
